  • Collaborative: Provides the flexibility to deliver information in a highly secure manner to any device via any communication medium. This creates an ideal environment for real-time information sharing and ensures that all constituents are using the same information to take action.
  • Advanced: ICD-10 compliant and built using standards, services and policies that enable secure health information exchange over the internet, enabling our constituents to participate in or create their own health information exchange.
  • Modular: Designed as separate modules working together using consistent standards, tools and technologies, which provides our stakeholders the flexibility to implement modules individually or all at once.
  • Agile: Integrates with existing systems to leverage current functionality or can replace numerous vendors to deliver a single-source system.
  • Secure: MedHOK applications are a hardened patch OS, 128 bit SSL and external PGP-encrypted platform and are co-located at two nationwide monitored secure data centers on redundant dedicated servers and firewalls.  Security features also include change-auditing, SCA, cell-level encryption and client computer verification with security tokens, which forces a user to verify their device. It is SAS70 and HIPAA compliant.
  • Cloud computing platform: This comes into focus when you think about what IT always needs — a way to increase capacity or add capabilities on the fly without investing in new infrastructure, training new personnel or licensing new software. Cloud computing encompasses any subscription-based or pay-per-use service that extends IT’s existing capabilities in real time over the internet.  Servers are not located in your office, so initial setup costs are negligible, and all technical aspects of the server are managed by MedHOK. It also allows you to access all of your information at any time, from any place with internet access.
  • Reliability and disaster recovery: All information is backed up and disaster recovery plans can be customized based on the individual client’s requirements.  We use the highly reliable eC2 cloud, the same network of servers used to run Amazon.com, the largest online retailer, so service reliability is 99.99%.
